Several patrons told me they look forward to this one every fall and it sells out quickly. Not a fan of the style, but tasting one I saw why.
Poured dark orange-amber with about a finger width of frothy white head. Heavy spice smell, cinnamon and pepper with sweet carmely malt. Taste is those, but a nice balance between the spice and malt so it's not too sweet or over spiced. Spice taste was great, a nice blend more on the peppery side. Mouthfeel was smooth, not watery like many of Rhodell's beers in the past nor crazy carbonated.
Never thought I'd want to go back to a bar for just for a fruit/veggie beer.
