On tap at the brewpub. Poured into a pint glass. Comes in at 5.5%.
A-Looks black based on the lighting in the brewery. It has a creamy one finger tan head that collapses to a nice all encompassing cap. Leaves some good lace in between sips.
S-Has a good roast malt nose that reminds me more of a stout or a porter. It has notes of chocolate and some coffee.
T-Like the nose, there is a lot of roast malt. Coffee flavor is upfront and that is followed by a touch of sweet chocolate. It finishes with a smoky/roast taste. It has a very dry finish.
M-Medium bodied with crisp carbonation.
D-A nice take on the style. The low abv makes it very sessionable.
Always enjoy this one at the pub. Works really well with their awesome meatloaf.
