This growler was brought up to Boise by Douglas88... He's a RB guy, but don't hold it against him. We sat on the growler most of the night until an opportune time for a pacer beer that was much deserved.... Poured into my small La Trappe goblet... the brew has a descent very lite tan head atop a crystal clear mahogany liquid... very pretty.
Nose is has some uummph to it that I wasn't really expecting.. good nutty aroma that sorta has a bigger than expected toasty note with a nice punch of toasty malts ... granted, these are all alot "less" than a standard brown, but I am really impressed with the malt qualities on this brew... it smells "English".
Flavors mirror the nose .... biscuity with some very light cold coffee combined into the above elements.. The body is expected light and the carbonation is low (not a problem for the style)... sorta smooth and somehow creamy... I like this one a bunch.
Doug called for this one at the right time, and I was fortunate enough to polish off the growler after everyone went home... Thanks again my newfound amigo.... Nice to have another PA buddy sorta within close proximity.... You will always be welcome in my abode as long as you bring good beer. :-)
I honestly can't find any real faults with this one... Just a well made low alcohol brew made by the folks who have made low alcohol brews an art over the years.... now that era is done, I say bring on the Big Belgians!!!!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
