A - Served a fairly clear copper-orange color with a finger of frothy tannish head. The head hangs around forever leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - The aroma is a mix of lightly toasted caramel malts and some light sweet fruit. There is also just a hint of earthy hops in the background.
T - Starts off with sweet lightly toasted caramel flavor and a bit of light fruit (peach). Through the middle a touch of hops and spice come through. The finish is sweet and lightly toasted with a hint of spice.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and crisp. The finish is fairly clean with some lingering sweetness.
D - Very drinkable. A bit too light and could have used a bit more of a punch to the flavor.

A: Deep, dark gold/amber color. Poured a 1 finger cloud-white head that dissipated to a skim on around the inside edge of the glass. Decanted lightly with bubbles slowly rising to the surface. Laced in broken rings.
S: Big, biscuity Munich malts up front. Some fruity yeast esters; green apple. Very little hop character in the nose.
T: Much like the nose. Sweeter than the nose. Light fruits add to the sweet character. A very light peppery bitter for some balance.
M: Light-to-medium body. Low carbonation. Smooth but a little coating. Finish is very low bitterness.
O: Drinkable, yes. Could have used a little more carbonation, a little more bitter (though I know the style is delicate in that area).

currently on rotation in the "Test Batch X" series, standard pint at the Rock Springs brewpub
a: a nice chestnut brown in color with little head
s: toasty munich malts dominant with subdued fruits, perhaps some dark toffee, hops almost go without notice - plain and papery, actually a little disappointing after the initial impression given by the dark color
m: pretty weak - carbonation is very low, and leaves the medium body to fend for itself
t: mirrors the big munich presence on the nose with smooth toasted sugars and fruit skins, closes with a quick and mild hop bitterness - though hop flavors are quite low
d: reasonably drinkable for the style, a pretty standard example that's nice enough but a bit lackluster
