This is a old hang out of mine, I used to stop here all the time on the way to visit my family, and I still have a soft spot for it. The atomosphere is rather ritzy, but they aren't uppity. The bartenders love to talk beer once you get them going, and the beer it pretty good, hit and miss. There Dunkelweizen (seasonal) is fantastic, but I don't know if they are making it this new year (2005). The food is expensive, but the pints are cheap, which is great. I recommend the Dunkles, and Märzen, and the seasonals are usually good as well. I always leave happy whether the beer was good or not. :)

You can come here to eat and have a beer that's different than a Labatt or Molson, but it is not what you can find in downtown Toronto. I have posted my beer reviews, they have a fair selection of fair beers, with the main Gordon Biersch group. Every location is going to be a bit different, that "goes with the territory". However, this is way East of Toronto and worthwhile stopping in. Its restaurant is competing with several other US chains in the same plaza. There is a small rotation of seasonals, and I would stop in again in the spring for that.
