The enhanced Sixpoint IPA formulation, first released in the summer of 2014 and uses a blend of new hop strains for a juicy, citrusy, piney hop slashing.

It all started with an epic video game marathon back in 2004. Rocking blaze-orange homebrew, we saw the foam rings down the glass like tiger stripes. Thousands of batches and tweaks later, the BENGALI® still slashes. Tip in back and let gravity do the work. Game on!

Copper colored, clear with steady carbonation and a clingy white head.
Aroma is a great blend of light caramel malt and earthy hop - hints of citrus and wet wood.
Flavors are spot on for a p[ale ale pushing IPA - not quite "big" enough for an IPA to me but still a g0-to pick for having more than 1.
Body on the light side of medium with a solid hop kick on the finish.

Mediocre ipa, nothing wrong but also nothing great to talk about. Amber in color, medium bodied, I couldn’t smell or taste anything in particular, 6.6 abv poured from a can.

Poured on tap at a local restaurant into a pint glass
Look: Hazy orange/amber with a solid 1-1.5 fingers of head with good retention.
Smell: Hops and citrus.
Taste: Follows the nose with plenty of citrus notes. Some pine notes as well. Appropriately bitter without any unpleasant aftertaste.
Feel: Medium bodied with good carbonation.
Overall: This is a great American IPA from a relatively local brewery.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours very lightly hazed orange color with a small head of white foam. The head fades fairly quickly, leaving small islands of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a bready aroma mixed with a moderate showing of herbal hops and a bit of pine and floral hop. Along with these smells comes notes of orange and grapefruit as well as a touch of tangerine.
Taste – The taste begins with a very lightly toasted bready malt flavor paired with a rather sizable bitter grapefruit rind hop. Other light notes of orange and tangerine are there as well, creating an overall citrusy base. As the taste advances flavors of an pine and light floral hop join in, all while the grapefruit gets even more potent. A light caramel comes in at the expense of the orange and tangerine, and with a hint of hay, one is left with a rather citrusy and resinous bitter hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and chewiness with a moderate carbonation level, both of which were rather fitting for the mix of malt and grapefruit bitterness.
Overall – A good brew overall.

Had a single, twenty-three ounce draft @ New York Sports Grill in the terminal @ JFK for $23 (mommy!). I have had this many times, not for a while. Drinks pretty well, not as well as as a remember, excusing exorbitant price.

Best Buy July 2024. Consumed early May 2024. Thanks to my local beer guy for getting it to me at a good pace.

Like this beer like this outfit. I prefer the resin but would not pass on this one in a pinch.
L: drinking it from the can and the can is cool.
S: light aroma of bitter citrus and pine.
T: delivers on the nose. Nice pine hop finish.
F: light to medium mouth feel. Carbonation level is good
Oh: solid entry from six point. Worth picking up now and then.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours red orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus hops, not that strong. Tastes of citrus and piney hops, nice and strong, way better than the aroma. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.
