On tap at local WOB. Poured into a snifter. Dark brown/reddish in color. Smells of caramel malts and some cocoa with a hint of ? brine/salt/seawater. Mouthfeel is light for the style and smooth. Taste is simultaneously classic malty porter with a hint of seasalt and brininess. Got better/smoother with additional tastes. Overall, quite tasty. I love porters and appreciated the different flavor added to this to make it both drinkable and unique. Thanks @sixpoint

Had this on tap the other day at the Cloverleaf, shortly before it kicked. While not as roasted as other Porter's that I've had, this was a nice beer that wasn't too heavy for the warmer months, and went down relatively easily!

Natually, the pour was dark to this as the beer had a currant hue with a garnet tinge around the edges. There was a bit of dark fruit in the nose as the typical roasted character came through in the mouthfeel. Lots of raisin as well along with booze and a hint of syrup to tie everything in together - this was not a heavy beer and felt a bit like a Dubbel in the aftertaste, since the flavors were clearly more prevalent than the malt here. I didn't mind the thin nature of this because this was easily drinkable and not as heavy as a typical Porter.

The amount of alcohol was spot-on as well as it complemented the beer without overpowering it. Too bad this was a limited release, but only because it's hard to find a dark beer that goes well with the Summer months. This was one of them and I hope to come across it again soon. It holds up well like all of Sixpoint's other offerings that I've had over the years.
