Had on tap at Stanziato's in Danbury, CT.
Pours darker than the usual saison; a burnt orange hue with a little over a finger of creamy-white head into my snifter. Definitely smell the brett in this one, as well some other typical barnyard mustiness and medicinal qualities…a bit of mint as well perhaps. The taste is quite nice with herbal qualities and a bit of apple as well as some definite brett funk. There's a pretty pleasing tartness throughout that holds the rest of the flavors in check.
An excellent saison; this beer has helped cement Sixpoint as one of the better and most versatile breweries of the Northeast in my eyes.
