Lil’ Raspy is a lil’ sensitive. He’s low ABV, got a soft, white, fluffy cap and the raspberry puree he’s brewed with gives him a pinkish hue. And that makes people think he isn’t tough. But he’s a prickly sucker… definitely one of the most sour beers the Mad Scientists have released in recent memory. Kettle-soured and sometimes served with proprietary “Raspy Sauce" (a spicy blend of raspberries and jalapeños). Pucker up!

I had this on draft at savages ale house. This beer looked good with the exception of not forming a crown. The beer itself was truly raspberry in color. It brought little smell, and a soft raspberry to the taste. The taste was a little muted for me and the mouthfeel was flat and one dimensional. It definitely didn't bring a bounce that I love. Balanced on the sourness, but again I would've liked more from that as well.

I’m currently enjoying it at Judy & Punch, Queens, NYC.
Pours a hazy looking concoction of tropical fruit colors; blood orange pulp, cranberry color, fruit punch. A frothy pinkish skims the top and retains well.
Aroma of raspberry, cherry, sour plum, lemon, and citrus peel. A toasted malt quality, wheat, and sweet pound cake quality also come through.
Tart and refreshing, crisp and dry, light and easy to drink. The raspberry coating takes the edge off of the lemon acidity. Prickly carbonation with a hint of grapefruit pulp, sour blood orange, sour green grape and green apples. A light vinegar and dry cider quality also coats the mouth.
Quite tasty and enjoyable. I think it deserves higher ratings because it’s a sour beer with complexity and that’s not overwhelmingly acidic.

On-tap at Albion, New York, NY
A: The beer is clear light red in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a small patch of white bubbles on the on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of raspberry purée are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having stronger flavors of raspberries and a light amount of sourness.
M: It feels a bit more that light-bodied and tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very easy drinking light bodied sessionable sour. The smell was a little faint, but the flavors of raspberries picked up in the taste.
