This beer was formulated and brewed with Posse App Development, the super dedicated and talented team who wrote every line of code for the app in your hand. For the beer we went with all New Zealand hops—David, one of the lead developers, has roots there. We featured Nelson Sauvin… ever tasted a beer with this hop? It’s the most coveted strain in the world right now. Known for unique notes of passionfruit and elderflowers common in Sauvignon Blanc (and grown in the same area as the grapes), it’s a tropical and stone fruit blast

April 2018 can, weighing in at 8.0% abv and "0" ibu.

I still have a hard time rating these guys, but Sixpoints Posse rolls pretty hard. Chicken stock yellow with a dense and creamy off white head, with some pretty damn good lacing.

This smells like a ton of hops got in a fight with a lot of yeast. I don't know what the hell I'm smelling other than a blended fruit smoothie complete with a yogurt base.

Same goes with the flavor. Did I get bad cans? Usually, Sixpoint beers seem so focused and honed in on specifics. This seems muddled and almost indistinguishable. Yet... I am enjoying it. Fruit rinds and piths with yogurt and earthy, dirty, hoppy goodness.

Very rich and creamy. Earthy too, as I mentioned earlier. This claims "0" ibu. I say "pfffttt!", As this seems to have quite a bitter bite that lasts long in the finish.

Honestly, I don't know wether I love or hate this beer. I know I'm still drinking it. I know I plan on finishing it. I know that it will have its fans and its foes. I think I'm happy to be perched in the middle. Cheers.

Pours a hazy, slightly dull, golden color. Medium white frothy head that quickly dissipates to a ring around the edge.

Aroma is stone fruit first – apricot, nectarine, plum – and passionfruit and guava. The aroma doesn’t blow me away, but the notes are strong and clear. There’s a fruity marijuana around the edges.

Flavor is big time juicy tropical fruit up front that quickly steps into the background to allow the citrus from the all-New Zealand hop bill to step forward: lemon, lime, a little tangerine. Dankness emerges with a pleasant strength around the back of the tongue and the end of the sip, leaving a distinct bitterness behind that balances out the juicy front end. The dankness also holds a slight edge to it reminiscent of white wine, which is likely coming from the Nelson. Warmth brings a greater variety of flavor, but nothing specific comes to mind. Just a layered hop profile that all works well together really well.

Full mouthfeel, very soft. Low carbonation, which works well with the style. Definite resin on the tongue, a touch of dryness that gently urges me towards the next sip. There's a bitterness in the flavor that comes through at the end that is

Really great beer. NZ Hops are subtle, and this beer matches that. There’s a lot of nuance here and warmth brings out a lot of detail. It has all the requisite characteristics of a DNEIPA, or INEIPA, or is it NEIIPA? NEDIPA?: hazy, juicy, fruity, soft. But the exclusive use of Kiwi hops creates a different experience that doesn't bash you over the head with flavor and aroma, but instead invites you to get to know the beer over a 12 ounce pour. It reminds of some of my favorite Grimm beers, which is another brewery focused on creating unique flavor and aroma experiences.
