Let’s break this down to 0s and 1s. You hold in your hand the connection between hop bines in Yakima, Washington, and bines down in Tasmania, Australia. Binary is rockin’ the Yakima Citra and the Galaxy from down under. It’s a BINE-ary dual-hopped Double IPA with the best of both hemispheres—strains so good they’re practically cheat codes. This can is the conduit. Drink up.

Today is the ocCANsion of Sixpoint Me the Way to New Beer Sunday (Week 749). Even better, this is from a Slimline CAN in support of The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Let’s break this down to 0s and 1s. You hold in your hand the connection between hop bines in Yakima, Washington, and bines down in Tasmania, Australia. I remember, back in the mid-1980s, thinking that I might want to switch over to Data Processing Technician (DP) so I was doing the CANespondance courses for the rating. I found it fascinating & when I remarked on my efforts to a comely female DP, she offered to give me the answer key! I declined, saying that I wanted the book learning, not simply the answers. Shocked, she then asked if I understood Binary code. I replied that I did & that seemed to be the end of the CANversation. A day or two later, I get a punch card & a separate note of 0s & 1s in my mailbox! I ran the card & translated the note, both reading, "Want to learn to do the Binary Call me". 8=O "The Binary" is simply in or out, on or off, but with no particular rhythm. It was like jazz sex!
The vent was closed & after the Crack! it was open. 01 The beer was in the CAN until my gentle C-Line Glug at which (Six)point, it was out of the CAN. 01 Initially, there was no head & then there was a mountainous two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head & then there was none again. 010 Color was a lightly-hazy solid-Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). 0 Nose had a dank, citrusiness or was it tropical? Best of both worlds on the nose! 11 Mouthfeel was neither thin nor was it full, putting it somewhere in the middle. 010 Taste was initially citrusy 1 then tropical 101 for a beautifully executed amalgam of flavors. 111 I was left pondering this one after each sip. Did I like it? 1 Was it a little odd? 0 Overall, I found it an interesting interlude. 101 Finish was semi-dry 1 but I might have liked it to have been a bit drier. 0 I wonder what your code might look like. Mine? 010101011010101111010110 Let us pray - 10101111001100010001110001, 2!

A slightly hazy light gold. A decent head that fades slowly. A surprisingly clean glass, I mean some lace but... the beer remains covered as I drink and spots and streaks come an go as I sip.
A dank a fruity aroma. Lots of mangos and light pineapple/peach. A light malt graininess and a healthy dose of line and mint. Some fusel alcohol bite adds pepper.
Taste follows with sweet light caramel malt diving right into mango and and tropics. Some kaffir lime and toasted dinner rolls. Light grapefruit and mint with hop oil and alcohol in the finish. Short, clean and dry. with lime and oil wedded to a light cereal graininess. Alcohol presence increases as it warms.
Supple and smooth with a crisp and lightly prickly carbonation. Medium body is somehow quite light in the mouth. easy drinking and refreshing.
A solid DIPA. If your tastes run to tropics, tis is a good pick.

T: follows the nose from start to finish; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;

Absolutely gorgeous beer. Yellow-gold body, opaque but not hazy, huge fluffy white head that brought the lacing with gusto.
West coast IPA on the nose (to start), with unique and strong stawberry and melon notes. Dank. Grassy. Piney and extremely herbal. Fascinating.
Taste is a little more muddled but still quite unique. Berries, lemongrass, French bread, pine resin, and almost a subtle salty brininess. Very malty, almost to the point of overwhelming the hops. Not necessarily what I’m looking for in a big IPA, and the can is admittedly over a month old, but still really different and interesting.
Feel is light-medium, smooth, soft, well carbonated, and just the right consistency.

12 oz skinny can with an August 2018 canning date.
Pours hazy amber with a modest size, yet very durable, head.
Fruity, herbal and yeasty aroma. Flavor: moderately hoppy and bitter for style. Tropical fruit notes with faint bread. High ABV evident.
