I had this on tap at Black Iron Burger in the East Village, although it was simply called "Atlantic Amber". I'll assume it's the same beer. It was a copper-orange color beneath a creamy head of off-white foam. Good retention and excellent lacing! The aroma displayed citrus notes over a caramel maltiness. In the mouth it was medium bodied and crisp with a standard carbonation level of around 2.5 volumes CO2/liter. The citrus and caramel found in the nose carried through into the flavor, alternately showing notes of grapefruit and medium caramel. It was backed by a stiff bitterness, and along with the citrusy hop flavor it finished dry and gently lingering. Nicely done!

I was at a Sixpoint tasting at Bellport Soda in Bellport NY yesterday with Jeff from Sixpoint Ales and several other people when this was served off the tap and into growlers. The overtly hoppy fragrance was what I expected from a good Sixpoint ale as I went for the first taste. While the snap of citrus and grapefruit were on top, a gentle malt flavor came through. Maybe it was a little too cold for a full tasting, but I just couldn't put it down. It reminded me a little of the great Sierra Nevada Celebration as it grew warmer in my hands.

On draft at the Atlantic Antic street fair in Brooklyn. Easy drinking amber ale is deep amber in color with a well balanced malt and hop aroma and a sweet caramel and toasted malt flavor. A nice hop finish as well. Very easy drinking while walking the streets of the fair (for which the beer is brewed).
