"Ever heard of THE LEAP? It’s the distance that extra-dank aroma jumps out when you crack the can. There’s a new strain out of Oregon that’s shattering expectations with a huge aroma of lush fruits plus a big whiff of dank cones—it’s
called Strata and it’s so potent that it’s taking the leap to new lengths. SHATTER is rumored to slap you with dankness several feet away. Put it to the test. "

Disappointing.
Light, tangy, pineapple, persimmon, low bitter, potato, grassy, ABV 8.7, not a big flavor and not a great overall flavor profile. SixPoint is usually impressive, but not this time. I'm surprised to see so many high ratings.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on October 25, 2019. We’re talking the straight up dankest, most potent beer they make. Heard of Strata? It’s a strain out of Oregon that’s shattering expectations. It’s got a huge aroma of lush fruits plus a big whiff of dank hops. Like a direct injection of concentrated hop resin.

From a can into a Sam Adams glass. Floral and spicy on the nose; fresh and punchy all around. Starts out with a bitter bite but lets go pretty quickly. Some guava notes, some tangerine. Really solid.

Meh ... but had to try it.
The advertising keeps repeating Dank. Gimme a Fucking break!
No dankness, & low on the Haze/Juice quotient, but decent IPA nonetheless.
Like the pale-ish malt base (especially for 6=Point). On the nicely dry side.
One of my favorite 6-Point brews, but dank?!? You make me laugh, sir.

12 oz can poured into a pint glass.

More yellow than orange color. Quite hazy with a good off white thick head that leaves webs of lacing.

Sweet citrus , wheat and faint herbal tea on the nose and palate. Finishes with a slight bitterness.

Smooth and easy drinking. Medium bodies with light carbonation.

Quite good. Some of Six Points beers are too sweet for me. I like the malt bill and slightly bitter hop mix in this one. Recommended.

Served in a tulip glass from a 12oz can.

Appearance: Hazy body coming off a darker tinted gold color with white head rising roughly two finger's length off the body. Drops after two sips or so, with light suds stuck to the glass. Personally I think it looks great, hazy NEIPA looking brew.

Smell: Light floral aroma, light hop feel which disappears quickly.

Taste: Smooth bitterness, light citrus skin with a potato bread like sweet taste which is ridiculously easy to drink. Think of a combination of pink and yellow grapefruits with the right hint of wheat and malts.

Mouth: Medium carbonation with a full body, after taste is semi sticky.

Overall: Very good brew, Not super expensive and super full-filling. Always in a glass, Salud!

A sizable quick fading soapy head. Cloudy dark straw color and virtually no lacing.

Great smell. Really. Juicy with lots of tropical fruits. Pineapple guava. A bit of melon. Slight alcohol edge. Full dank hoppines

Great taste. Full of sweet bready malt that flows into citrus and tropicals. Low bitterness and lots of hops. A touch of booze.

Dry slightly fluffy and creamy. Crisp and quenching.

A delicious brew.

L: darkish yellow hazy. sizeable head after a robust pour that quickly dissipates.
S: smells nice of sweet citrus and floral.
T: strong point of the brew. sweet fruit and citrus. then some dank flavors that are hard to classify but a nice match with the sweetness. hint of acid bitterness at the end.
F: not as rich as some IIPAs but very nice.
O: worth addition to the sixpoint lineup. go get some!

I picked this up for the holiday weekend. I figured that a new DIPA from Sixpoint would be solid and the cloudy hue and lace match the style pretty spot on. Smooth in texture with a citrus and grain palate with no alcohol burn at all. Well made, as expected, even if from a slightly different style.
