Hazy IIPA with Enigma, Galaxy, and Vic Secret
We could call this one a lot of things. A reflected duplication, maybe. A beer reversed in the direction perpendicular to the surface ... or an optical effect that results from the reflection off substances such as water (or beer). Here's what you have to know: when you flip the script and scour the Southern Hemisphere for your hops, you can create huge, explosive flavors that express themselves as insane blasts of fruity and tropical notes with remarkable complexity. You just can't get these flavors from anywhere else. Now it's your turn - flip it one more time. Bottoms up.
The infinite loop is a series of IPAs on never-ending rotation inspired by our small batch innovations.

Sixpoint Brewery "Mirror Image"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNED 17 JUN 2020 BB 14 DEC 2020 P 15:36"
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a hazy IPA w/ Enigma, Galaxy, & Vic Secret hops. I'm not sure I've ever tasted Enigma. It's a murky golden beneath a full head of white foam. The aroma is tropical, as might be expected, with peach and some pine, and maybe a little bit of berry. On to the taste... well that's quite nice. It's refreshing and fruity, and a touch like white wine. It's got some sweetness to it but it's not sweet like a lot of other tropical NEIPAs. The label lists it at just 16 IBUs but I guess there is some drying factor from the 8% ABV and a light touch of hop bite. So what are the notes that the hops are imparting to it? Orange, nectarine, gooseberry, white grape, pineapple, berries, pine, and mild herbs ~ I think that about covers it! It's definitely interesting, and somewhat unusual. The head has now dropped to a thin cap but it's creamy and it covers the entire surface. The lacing is really good as well. I'm tempted to score it a 4.5 but we'll see. In the mouth it's delicate and smooth, adding to an already massive drinkability. At 8% this one could be trouble. You do get a sense of the alcohol, but I'm not sure you'd be so aware that you wouldn't just crack open another one. A third however, yeah, you'd probably be feeling it by then. Still, it's very easy to drink.

This is one cloudy beer. Thick like a shake. Good head and lacing.
Nose is juicy, with lots of sweet malt to underpin it all. Melon, citrus, a hint of stone fruit. Full bouquet of tropical fruit. Smells so good.
Great taste. Really. Sweet and tangy tropicals meld with a full malt backbone. Light grains. Hops are firmly bitter but mild overall. Light alcohol and mint in the clean, dry, short, finish. Low booze in the flavor make this one sneaky.
Smooth, full carbonation. Crisp and refreshing with a nice thirst quenching swallow.
Just a great DNEIPA. Way too drinkable for a beer of this strength. Love it!

From the can, it pours a hazy orange color. A large foamy and moussy white head retains well. It yields sticky rings of lacing.
The nose opens with a big burst of tropical fruit. Notes of mango, papaya and guava. Further in, aromas of peach, grassy and resiny hops, and caramel malt sweetness develop.
Fruity and juicy with flavors of tropical and stone fruit, including mango, papaya, peach and apricot. The mouthfeel is soft and frothy with creamy and biscuity malts. However, their is a nice balance as a a gentle hops bitterness ensues. Notes of herbal and peppery spices, grass and pine resin. There is also a mild alcohol spice. Medium bodied but with a lightness to it that aids drink ability. The finish is dry and resiny. The carbonation is moderate.
I like everything about this from the smooth and easy drinking mouthfeel to its well balanced hops flavors. Happy to see that Sixpoint does the NEIPA style very nicely.
