On tap at Fraunces Tavern in Manhattan, NY.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like melted dark chocolate, vanilla, spicy oak, licorice, dark fruit, and coffee.

This is surprisingly pretty great. I haven't had anything from Sixpoint in maybe 5 years now, but this one definitely stood out when seeing it on a draft list. It's pretty sweet, but there's enough barrel to tamp it down a bit, with spicy oak, licorice bitterness, and a boozy almost peanut like note. There's some vanilla and sticky dark fruit, with sweet melted chocolate flavor.

This is medium bodied, and a little bit boozy, but decently drinkable.

I haven't paid attention to Sixpoint in the longest time. I can't really say that I'm gonna change that behavior, but at the very least, this was quite enjoyable.

Pours pitch black with a well retained one finger dark mocha head that leaves a few spots of lacing. Smells of bourbon, oak, dark roasted malts, dark chocolate and vanilla. Taste is bourbon up front followed by dark chocolate, roasted malts, char, oak, caramel, dark fruit and vanilla. Medium bodied, light carbonation, boozy finish and a creamy mouth feel.

Pours coffee black with close to two fingers of uneven dark mocha head that’s fairly fizzy and not long for this world. It does leave a decent crown and some modest lacing.

Dark and creamy chocolate, somewhat like BCBS, shows first in the nose. There are hints of cherry, cola and vanilla behind. Not much direct oak or whiskey, although there are hints of both.

Complex, dark malt flavors are found throughout in the taste, followed by a really hot finish. Chocolate, tobacco, berries, gentian root, cherry, a little charred oak, hints of vanilla and caramel, and plenty of booze.

Sort of an oily feel — light bodied for many imperial stouts these days, while still true to style. There’s a nice, light, slow-building fizz.

People who like complex RIS flavors and heavy-handed booze should enjoy this tremendously. Highly recommended.
