Bierkraft had a one time only Cask of Sixpoint Sweet Action that was wet hopped with Brooklyn grown hops and called "Sixpoint Sweet Action - Brooklyn Mix" from about 2/12/09 - 2/16/09. Bierkraft donated the Brooklyn grown hops and Sixpoint handled the wet hopping.
Excerpt from the Bierkraft Website:
NEW NEW NEW CASK BEER GROWLERS!
Real Ale Carbonated in the Barrel
Filled by our House Designed Beer Engines
SPECIAL ONE-TIME EXCLUSIVE
Sixpoint Sweet Action BROOKLYN MIX
Wet-hopped with Brooklyn-grown hops
(NY) $12.95
Appearance: The color of iced tea with almost no head, minimal carbonation, and no lacing.
Smell: Holy fresh hops and tea batman!
Taste: Same as nose. Delicious fresh hop quality but not much else going on.
Mouthfeel: ok so this is one of my first cask beer samples and I knew that they are traditionally a touch thinner but this borders flat. In doing some research I found that nearly all cask beer is borderline flat. So I'll give it a 3.5
Drinkability: Taste is decent but mouthfeel is so flat that I wouldn't want to drink this all day (although you easily could if so inclined).
Being new to cask beer, I think this brew hasn't really got a fair shake by me. I love Sixpoint Brewery and will continue to!
