A gorgeous beer. Large head that fades gently and leave a nice amount of lace. Deep ruddy amber and very clear. no carbonation activity as it sits.
Nose is mild and clean with caramel and floral hops notes of oak and toasted grains.
Love the flavor. Just wonderful, with caramel and toasted malt. Deep and rich maltiness. Mild oaken notes. Crisp floral bitterness. Finish is clean with a light caramel flavor lingering. A subtle complexity weaves through it all that gives it a depth and nuance that is not typical of the style, but it adds to the experience.
Medium weight with a touch a heaviness. Smooth carbonation and a crisp quenching swallow.
This is a new favorite Marzen for me. I can't quite put my finger on it but there is something quite special about the taste of this one. Really like this brew.
