Beautiful deep brown liquid. Brown head and surprising lacing for a beer of this abv. Tall and quite slow in its fade. A good pour results in a picture perfect glass. A thick motor oil like quality to the brew. There's a syrupy coating that accompanies each swallow .

Nose is bouquet of luscious aromas. Sweet molasses and caramel. Oak and vanilla. Cherries and bourbon with a bed of roasted malts.

Taste is superb. Malt front with bourbon oak cherries, vanilla. All the notes from the nose and more. The balance is exquisite. The alcohol is invisible. The decadent blend of chocolate, bourbon and others with just enough bitterness to take the edge off the sugar had me drinking this with abandon.

Smooth and well carbonated. While thick and luscious, this is lighter on the tongue than I expected. Lovely velvet creaminess makes every sip a delight.

One of the best beers I've ever had. Delicious and easy drinking. So well crafted that it's almost criminal. You can session it and not realize it's strength until you fall on your face, or you can savor it and marvel at its construction. Either way it's a beer to seek out and love.

worked a 24 hr shift, slept most of day, heavy downpour outside, in my pj's on a lazy afternoon. What a great way to sip this heavy imperial stout. Delicious and enjoying the high abv. Notes of coffee, vanilla, oak, molasses stand out

Pours pitch black color with a 2 finger foamy brown head that was packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating in average time and leaving almost no lacing. Smells of espresso, oak, dark chocolate, booze, molasses, nutty notes, cocoa powder, smoked malts or charred wood, and a hint of vanilla like it was bourbon barrel aged. The vanilla really comes out in the taste, with a nice level of sweetness that balances the char, booze and chocolate aspects. The 14% ABV is well hidden and the rich chocolate notes get more pronounced like brownie batter as it warms up. There's some oak and/or woody notes in the aftertaste which has a bite of bitterness, but overall this was a very tasty stout which was a fine slow sipper.

Served in a teku glass from the can.

Appearance: Semi thin to thick brown tinted black with a tan head rising an initial half a fingers length off the body.

Smell: Whiskey aroma which makes love to the nostrils. Heavy coffee and warm brown sugar but the vanilla is a special commodity to the nose.

Taste: Has a complex sweet whiskey feel consisting of heavy vanilla bean and smooth American coffee and notes of toffee with

Mouth: Syrup like, sweet vanilla and heavy whiskey to the finish.

Overall: Good brew, zero zero tweaking needed to be done. I might have overpaid for the brew but honestly just wanted to have what the hype was about and it is pretty good. I say, if you see it grab it if Imperial stouts are your thing. Salud!

Tall can with "best by 3/7/21" stamped on the bottom...so according to SB this beer is being consumed a few days late...but at 14% I'm confident this will only improve for who know how long.

Pours the expected super dark , near black, under a dark tan mini cap.

Rich sniff of dark chocolate, espresso and marshmallows.

Super smooth and milkshake like in the mouth.

Over the top imperial stout goodness...all with the 14% (!) somehow well hidden....simply loaded with dark chocolate, more espresso, again marshmallows, plus heavy vanilla in the loooong finish.....world class night capper
