Infinite Loop Series Limited Release
We took the fruity pineapple elements in Resin and doubled down with tons of Bru-1 and Idaho 7 hops—the most evocatively pineapple-y hops around. Then we refermented on pineapple purée for good measure. It’s like Resin on island time.

16 ounce can poured into a tulip.

Disappointing, perhaps this was better fresh. Weak nose with hints of pale malt and tropical hops. The flavor was subdued as well, tropical hops overpowered by alcohol. Mouthfeel was OK, crisp over soft medium body but not creamy. Not sure what happened here but judging by other reviews it’s likely this one clashes with my palate.

Like most of us, I am a fan of both Sixpoint and the original Resin. I was a little worried after reading reviews that the artificial taste would be a big turn off for me, but it turned out to be only a minor issue in an otherwise solid effort. This is a big tasty brew with stellar body and craft, but there is a moment in the peak if the sip where it wobbles unsteadily for an instant with pineapple sweetness overload. More than a few of these would be too sweet and cloying for me but drinking one was pretty enjoyable.

i like this outfit but unfortunately not this beer. THe pineapple is inviting on the nose but the flavor combo of the sweetish pineapple and harshly bitter hops is just not agreeable. I'm fine with hoppy but somehow this combo comes off artificial tasting as noted by others.
your mileage may vary but this one is not working for me, and Resin is one of my favorites...

Pours quite nicely, a clear ever so slightly on the amber side of golden with a fluffy head that sponges up as it falls. On the nose, I get a decent dose of pineapple right away, but it fades as I drink through the beer. The hops seem like they may be nicely pungent if not blocked by the pineapple. I get a basic unripe pineapple that morphs into some bitter mint as I start to sip and maybe have the retronasal effects kick in.
Taste has the hop bitterness rolling in more than the pineapple. It continues to be a bitter beer, but the mint impression grows; unfortunately It has an artificial vibe to it. I do like the level of pineapple - it is an accent that brings a little interest. However, I when combined with the bitterness and probably aided the higher ABV of the beer, it brings about and artificial to somewhat household cleaning product vibe.
So, the artificial note isn't ideal, but it isn't strong enough to make this a drain pour. But it also isn't something that turns this beer into one I can't get completely on board with.

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; a 3 finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a thin cap; nice rings of lace;
S: fresh pineapple juice;
T: fresh pineapple juice from start to finish; mild tartness from the middle through the finish;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: the fact that it smells and tastes like ripe pineapple and not sweetened pineapple juice was a really nice surprise;

A - Medium yellow gold colored pour with perfect clarity and a dense, one fingered head with light carbonation.
S - Vibrant pineapple and spicy pineapple rind nose.
T - This one is all pineapple from start to finish. Little to no malt base, spicy pineapple, and ends with just the right amount of pineapple bitterness.
M - Big medium body finishes wet with prickly carbonation giving way to a soft finish.
O - This beer is better than its current score of (88).

Amber color. Medium-sized, white head. I was not excited about the aroma. Malt, even bread, some pineapple, and pine. Taste follows. Strong malty base with hoppy, bitter ending.

Weak nose, more malt presence than hops, which I found surprising. Orange-gold to amber somewhat hazy pour. On the disappointing side, the flavor though pleasant was mild, less robust than I anticipated. On the plus side, very admirable job of keeping pineapple flavor well-balanced between sweet and bitter. And the significant 9.1% ABV is brilliantly disguised. Worth returning to.
