(From notes - Cask at RnH for NYC beer week)

A - Reddish dark brown hue that is a bit clear; thinner bubbly light tan head

S - Rye, some woodiness; earthy hops; touch of rye and some maltiness (where's the whisky?!).

T - Rye comes through first; hops are nice and subtle and give a nice punch; really couldn't find any whisky notes in this at all; was kinda disappointed by this fact. Had I not known that this was indeed a different brew than the original, I would barely be able to tell the difference.

M - Mediumish; subtle barely there carbonation

D - Not bad drinking; but I have to say that the mental forces took over and left me wanting for the whiskey addition; hence the lower mark for me

Not a bad brew, but nothing unique above and beyond the regular version.
