Amber to copper in color with excellent clarity and a fingernail of brown on top. The aroma is of sweet, bready malt and marzipan. I’m tasting sweet to bready marzipan and doughy faintly roasted malt. The mouth is refreshing and crisp.

12oz can poured into a SA perfect pint
A- pours a clear copper color with a one-finger creamy off-white head that has great retention long after the pour
S- an array of fruity esters yup front quickly gives way to malty notes of caramel, bread crust, crackers and fruitcake. Undertones of fall leaves, grassy & floral hops
T- sweet, toasted malty notes up front give flavors of caramel, toffee & bread crust. Mid-palate gives some light floral and grassy hop notes. The finish gives more sweet caramel and toasted malt with a linger of earthy yeast and floral hops
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy into a silky finish
O- full flavored and well balanced, fantastic Okto

Retired? Interesting, I just picked this up a couple of weeks ago...
Anyway, a full-bodied beer with bold taste, light- to medium-bodied mouthfeel and an aroma that exceeds the style. I foundd this to be very much enjoyable...

Prefect copper colety with an off white head. Notes of caramel and light noble hops. Great flavor that is malty, sweet, mild bread y goodness. Crisp clean finish. Feel is also crisp with excellent carbonation and a velvety swallow. Superb overall in this style. I can't understand why this would be retired. It's one of the best American Marzens I've had.

Poured from the bottle into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Really nice copper orange body, with decent clarity and fine rising carbonation. Rich three finger off white to khaki colored head and with big retention. Quite a real nice looking marzen.
Solid and inviting aroma. Good notes of caramel that even flirts with hints of milk chocolate. Clean sensing, with a real sense of body and thickness.
Palate really delivers. Thick but controlled bodied, almost doppel like but with a clean and easy mouthfeel. Rich amounts of toffee and caramel flavor in the mid palate, hints just a touch of crispness and bitterness to add in the mix. Clean finishing with an excellent sweetness and just the lightest of hop spice on the finish.
Real impressive marzen that comes off larger than expected, and drinks so well.

The pour is copper colored with a medium amount of carbonation. The taste is sweet roasted malt, caramel dipped apples, grains, baked biscuit. Overall, this is not an authentic Oktoberfest but it's a well balanced American version. Cheers! B

Arrives dark amber with a strong red tinge. Small white head drops quickly.
Smell is weak. What shows up is lightly roasted malt, some faint caramel and a touch of hops. To much work to find it, though.
Taste is more Red Wolf than oktoberfest. A bit of roast on the malt, hops, some breadiness and some green wood.
Light body, fizzy on the tongue, harsh like a mega lager about half way through. This might make a decent Euro lager or maybe a red ale if the harshness was trimmed out of it. There is really nothing here to recommend it, sadly.

Growler- Chill hazed darker amber, oatmeal head, leaves moderate sheeting and an enduring thick film. Malty nose, with some herbal hop nots tossed in. Full flavor Octoberfest, the printout label from DeCiccio's says this is the first batch of O'Fest from Sixpoint. Tasty and easy drinking. More then a moderate hop punch comes in about midway and flows all the way to the finish. Enjoyable brew, went great with some left over pecan pie.
