Welcome to THE PURSUIT. Everyone's got somethin' that drives them, and for us, we're all about making good beer for good people. There's a lot more out there than when we started back in '04...fruity, hazy, you name it. Instead, we brewed a straight-up American IPA. That's it. Call it a curveball, call it MAD SCIENCE, call it whatever you want. Just enjoy THE PURSUIT

DATE: April 19, 2026... OCCASION: the weekend almost at a close, I welcome a "straight-up" American IPA... GLASSWARE: Otto's pint... pours a lively golden body teaming with upward bubbles that form a white, slightly imbalanced head of moderating thickness... a classic look, yes... crisp bread malts snap the taste buds sharply, bright meadow hops, lemon drop, light resin, grapefruit, and mellower hard fruits... no distinguishing aroma, but a solid base that elicits a sip quickly... the mouthfeel is perfect: vibrant and welcoming at the teeth, smooth and juicy in the mouth, and lingering at the throat... refreshing, lively--almost percolating in the mouth... at 6.4%, it sits comfortably between sipping and slamming... lemon, grapefruit, apple, resin, buttered bread, honey, and grains.... an epitome of the genre, if a bit mellow and agreeable... I first had this at Barclays, taking in the Cavs opener in Brooklyn with my son... it was a memorable night for that reason alone, but this beer was definitely a nice accompaniment to the victory...

12oz can stamped BEST BY 24 DEC 25 poured into a pint glass at fridge temp 6.4% ABV. The beer pours hefe-hazy medium amber with off white head. The head recedes to a rocky cap and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is mild with pale malt and generic hoppiness. The taste is bittersweet pale and caramel malt with mild grassy hop notes and mild bitterness. The feel is thin bodied, watery even, with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, uninspired.

The Pursuit of a decent, old school ipa. Part of a mixed pack. This was the ONE that intrigued me the most. 12oz can dated BB: Nov 12 2025. Uh oh. Poured into a Nonic glass(aggressively). Nice, creamy, 2 finger head, that sticks around. The color, is more of a light copper. The OG ipas. And the taste & mouthfeel follow. Pine/citra/malts/ nice smooth mouthfeel. Nice lacing. In the order of Harpoon’s OG ipa. Drank it with a sandwich for lunch. Very good. Cheers!

When the world looks for more bells and whistles to get attention, some know that the classics are the key. Sixpoint sees through the haze and puts all their hops in one basket.
Pouring a bright and beaming golden amber, The Pursuit stops the senses in their tracks with a bright scent of toasted caramel laced with citrus, spruce, herb and botanical grasses. A gentle and dry sweetness of caramel, honey and nuttiness is redolent with graham cracker ahead of a hop dominant middle palate. Pink grapefruit, tangerine and lime bring a strong citrus contingency with the racy tropical nuances of dried pineapple and mango. Trending quickly bitter and drying, the late taste is refreshing with peppery pine, citrus peel, fresh grass clippings and herbal dankness.
Medium bodied and drying in true IPA form, the ale tightens into a gripping but clean bitterness that has no problem reminding us that this is IPA.
