32 ounce growler filled at Green Growler Grocery in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Pouring as part of Sixpoint's tap take over event last week.
Pours murky dark plum amber, medium tan head, starts out frothy, then goes to a tiny bubble, thin collar and leaves nice looking webs and light sheets of fine lace.
Moderate Caramel malts picked up in the sniff.
Enjoyable amber, with waves of malts, some light smoke and mild yet balancing hop bitterness late.
More quality and well crafted brew from Sixpoint. Glad to have the chance to try it before it is no longer.

On tap at Yogi's. I'm assuming by lack of reviews this is a newer beer.
Pours a deep hazy red with a big off-white head leaving moderate lacing.
A little bit of citrus hoppiness, but this one is definitely a full bodied beer. Loads of sweet caramel malts and a little dark fruit as well.
Heavy sweetness from caramel malts. A little bit of a fruitiness to it as well. Maybe the yeast strain. A little bit of citrus from hops although this one is not balanced at all.
Silky mouthfeel, but got cloying and syrupy when warmed. Medium-low carbonation.
Nothing really wrong with this one, but it's too sweet and way out of balance toward malt. I prefer my ambers to be a little hoppier.

part of the red tasting lineup we drank this one from a growler filled at bierkraft and poured it into our tulip glasses
wow big head on this one and lots of hazy and cloudy murkiness in this beer it almost looks like a raw homebrew!
smell is knocking me out it has a lot of very intense citrus smells and also like a caramel apple thing going on and lots of fruit too
taste is also very delicious this one had just the perfect amount of hops to maake up for that really intense malt on the first sip its weird when you first taste it you think its going to be sugar but the hops kind of creep up on you
great body and almost smooth and silky texture but the gas reallly helps keep the palate clean
once again another good brew from sixpoint most of their beers i really like
