12 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a small dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light chocolate, raisin, prune, fig, light herbal, wood, peat smoke, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready/roast malt, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light chocolate, raisin, prune, fig, light herbal, wood, peat smoke, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, raisin, prune, fig, herbal, wood, light peat smoke, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/roast malt, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light dryness from roasted character as well. Light carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice scotch ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/roast malt, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

by far my favorite scottish ale... malty, sweet, beefy.
good price too.
I probably would have more to say about this, but I'm at a loss for words.
it's just a damn fine malt forward ale.
purchased a few times already, will purchase again.

12 oz brown bottle
Schmohz Brewing Kiss My Scottish Arse poured into a tulip glass a dark brown color producing a nice looking 1 1/2 finger tan bubbly head that held well and dissipated to a thick ring of foam. The nose was dominated by roasty malt, smoky, and light scent of brown sugar. The flavor matches the nose with the addition of nuts and dark fruits. The mouth feel is to the smoother side, and medium for a Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy. There is a light alcohol warmth at the finish.
Kiss My Arse is enjoyable. It is slightly lighter than some of its Michigan brewed Scotch Ale/ Wee Heavy competitors.

Had in bottle, or 6 bottles, really.
A- Great. Dark chocolate brown, with a decent airy, bubbly tan head.
S- Great. Chocolate, and a spice- nutmeg maybe??? You can smell caramel and malt throughout, with a bourbony smell at the back?? This isn't BB (that I know of), but that kind of smell is there.
T- Very smooth. Nice, clean malt throughout, lighter chocolate on the taste than the smell. Again, some nutmeg and caramel. Overall very tasty and easy to drink.
M- Light bodied, which is a little surprising. Very drinkable.
Overall, a delicious brew. Tasty, but not overly intense flavors. Strong, but doesn't taste like liquor. Very easy to drink for this type of beer.
