Appearance This one is dark brown in color with a huge, tanned, retentive head.
Smell The big roasty malts leapt from the glass after the beer warmed. There is some really fine espresso in here as well. What a great nose!
Taste The great roasty notes are sooo tasty. The espresso from the nose made it rightfully to the tongue. This is really good, fine espresso. The sugars at the finish were very light and reminded me of raw, brown sugar.
Mouthfeel This American Stout is bigger than medium in the body but not full. It has some solid but even-keeled bitterness.
Drinkability This is a nice session stout that you could drink all day long.
Comments Thanks to skyhand for showing me the way to this wonderful PacNW brewery. How was that chocolate stout ice cream?
