On tap at the brewery restaurant. Amber color with a modest foam in the pint shaker. Thick and malty, even a little winey tasting. Hints of orange and slightly roasted grain.
This is a substantial brew, more like an amber ale, though de-emphasizing the hops. Sweet and grainy. This makes me think of a Maibock. A pleasant gulp, but not in the crisp and refreshing style.

I had this on-tap in a plastic cup at the brewery during this year's Anacortes arts festival.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a touch of haze and thin layer of foam.
Smell: mild, sweet malt aroma. Not bad.
Taste: light and somewhat fruity lager flavor with a moderate bitterness at the end. Hops are mild but have a spicy noble character. Overall it is clean and quite tasty indeed.
Mouthfeel: medium light body with a good level of carbonation and a nice creaminess for the style.
Overall: a tasty and refreshing helles lager. It is really hitting the spot on this hot day.

Brewed for the annual Anacortes Arts Festival. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow with an inch of fluffy white head that had very good retention and thick lacing.
A neutral aroma featured a slight grainyness. The taste was similar, with a well balanced profile and a clean finish.
The body was perhaps a little fuller than others of the style I've had. The beer was very drinkable, perfect for taking a break in the beer garden while enjoying the sights and sounds of the annual arts fest. Worth trying if you see it.
