Decent looking amber brew with a golden glint and ample foam. Light body and spritzy on the tongue. Light aroma of pear and cider.
Pleasant light style of Saison with a distinct black pepper flavor. It's just a little hot but plenty spicy. Some hints of Hefeweizen wheaty malt. No hops flavors but a little yeasty bitterness. Yeast flavor is not very strong.
Overall, a light but peppered up beer. Nice to taste but I'm ready for something else now, please. On tap at the brewery in Anacortes, WA.

Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a clean, clear light gold color with just a thin cap of white head that that had low retention and lacing.
The aroma was a nice mix of grain, yeasty spice and just a trace of pepper. On the tongue the pepper had a bolder presence. Other than that, beer had the typical blend of grain and spice of the style.
The body was crisp and a bit fuller than typical for the style. Drinkability was very good, I could of easily had several of these and will probably do so. Worth a bit of effort to try.
