The bar I had this at had it listed as a "IPA style lager". Uh, OK, Ale or Lager? The breweries website was no help. Please change style if needed.
Served in straight pint glass. Poured a semi-hazy bright gold color with less than 1/4 inch of white head that had decent retention and very good lacing.
The aroma had a nice, soft Pilsener-y grain base, and a bold hop scent, featuring mostly citrus notes, but with a bit of floral tone as well. The hops really showed through on the tongue, floral up front, a hint of pine in the middle, and a big shot of of PNW citrusy-bitter hops that lingered at the back. The gentle grains didn't really stand a chance.
The body was nice, light, but not too light, smooth, but not too smooth, and pleasingly crisp. Drinkability was excellent, I could drink a bunch of these, and I probably will. Overall, another very nice, bordering on great, brew from the crew in A-Town. A must try if you see it.
