Draft tonight at Bittercreek... Standard sorta thick black brew with nice dark brown head that shows good retention and lacing... Nose is very traditional and spot-on, rich dark malt that shows good balance between dark chocolate, char and some light yeasty fruitiness.. Flavor begins with waves of bittersweet chocolate and French Roast.. again some dark cherry fruitiness seems perfect.. mild hoppiness is present and adds to the complexity... Body is medium/full.. clingy on the palate.. Very well made.. No complaints at all.. Nice to see a good RIS without all the Barrel-aged, mega-hopped, or 15+% ABV. Props.
