From the brewer: Galaxy hops from Australia along with caramel malts from Patagonia create this Southern Hemisphere IPA. Citrus and passion fruit aromas and flavors carry hoppiness into the next longitude (I think they meant to say latitude).
Clear, copper color. Small but lasting head. Blanketing lace.
Citrusy (grapefruit rind) hop aroma.
Dry taste which enhances the level of black pepper flavor (from the hop). The carbonation is elevated but the body is also thicker than I expected. I'd be hard pressed to think the ingredients came from below the equator. This is just another dry, slightly earthy, IPA to me.
