Pours very black in the imperial pint glass, with some reddish highlights around the edges, small tan head, good retention and some lacing. Smell is nice and malty, kind of sweet, coffee, chocolate, caramel, little bit of oatmeal, slightly roasty. Taste is more of the same, slightly sweet with chocolate and coffee, some caramel and oatmeal, bitter/slightly sour middle, and a chocolate and coffee aftertaste. Mouthfeel was medium body and low carbonation. Thought this one could be a bit beefier in the body department, pretty good however.
