Serving notes - on tap at Murphy's Steakhouse, Boise, ID. Shaker glass.
Aroma - coffe and sweetness jump out with a hint of chocolate in the background.
Appearance - two fingers of dense tan head. Looks like a nitro tap in appearance. Persistent half inch of head. Dark body with ruby highlights around the edges.
Taste - Assertive coffee flavor that is stoped short of being overbearing by the sweetness. Finishes dry on the middle of the tongue with sweetness lingering on the back.
Mouthfeel - light body, medium carbonation.
Drinkability - Reminds me of Guinness Foreign Export but with a less pronounced sweetness. Nice stout.

(Served in a frozen mug)

A- This beer has a jet black body with a perfectly cream tan head on top that I could have written my name in with a pen. It quickly fades to a thin film which remains through most of the beer.

S- The soft smell of cold coffee has a stale coffee quality to it and some black malt aromas come through in the background when the beer warms.

T- The big cold coffee flavor is a mild roast with a flavor of coffee grounds blends into a light graham cracker sweetness. There is a light tangy quality at the finish that is from black malt and it lingers for only a second.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with no alcohol heat or astringency but a bit of a dry finish.

D- This beer has a big but weak coffee taste that dominates the flavor. It taste like an intesting stout but it is buried below the coffee.
