Pours a dark brown.
Toffee, toasted malt, caramel, and other sweet malt notes.
Spicy hops and bitter-sweet malt flavor.
Medium-full bodied, low carbonation, leans too heavily sweet.
Overall, just go ahead and pass on this one.

Served in a pilsner glass at the Schaumburg location.
The middle-child beer of this particular outing. It pours a clear sunset amber topped by about a finger or so of off-white foam. The nose comprises biscuit, light honey, light flowers, and a mild helping of orange peel. The taste brings in more of the same, though the biscuit really takes charge, giving a strong breadiness to the proceedings. The orange also comes through more prominently, this time coupled with a decent amount of liquid caramel. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slightly drying finish. Overall, an okay maibock at best, one that goes too far into the realm of sweet bread for its own good.

Pours a clear golden, small off white head, some spots of lace. Smell is sweet, almost perfumy, floral and citrus, very crisp. Taste is sweet, wheat, floral and citrus, caramel, very dry in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. A smooth and easy to drink maibock.
