22oz bomber brewed in 2016; served in a snifter.
A: Dark brown/opaque black with almost no light showing through; a fluffy half-finger of off-khaki head settles quickly and doesn't lace all that well.
S: Fairly rich roasted malt character with impressions of bitter dark chocolate/cocoa, espresso, and very subtle herbal/earthy notes.
T: Follows the nose, touch of char, bourbon/oak, dark chocolate, roasted malt.
MF: Not as thick as I like from a BBA RIS, about medium in body, slightly sticky and drying.
O: Not a bad attempt at a BBA RIS, certainly drinkable.
