Tried this today while checking out the RAM in Schaumburg.
Served in a "skinny" pilsner flute glass. Color was a rusty dark copper, that was more dark brown until you held it to the light. It had pretty good clarity and a pleasant autumn color. Foamy, creamy head that trickled down the sides of the glass. Aroma was light with some apple traces from the yeast, and a decent toasted malt note.
Tasted clean and simple, with lightly toasty malts and a mild hop bitterness in the back. The apple note from the nose was present in the taste, but in the background. Body was light and was approaching watery. The hops lent a little bit of dryness, but it really needed a boost in the overall feel. Understated carbonation, with a mild bite. Easy to put back, but not really exciting enough to get a growler of.
