16oz draft at The RAM - Downtown. Golden, mild haze, fine head. Malty aroma, biscuity. Taste brings some bittering hops. Not a ton of flavor here, pretty standard pale ale territory.

had this over at their meridian location, which i am not sure i will be back to, brutal service, like to an impossible extent, but all the beer is made at the boise one here, which we love, and dont hold it against them. this is a new pale for summer, listed as a west coast pale, i agree, its got a nice pine hop profile and a cleaner finish with enough bitterness to border on the ipa realm but with plenty of grain balance too and a lower abv, right on for warm weather drinking. i anticipated enjoying a nice ripper of a pale with some buffalo cauliflower wings, but they put bbq sauce on them instead, so i can only imagine how well this pairs with spicy food, but its that kind of beer for sure. this could be a touch more refined overall, it has just a little bit of a soapy thing to it at the end and doesnt hold its head too long, but the flavors are nice, the hops are boldly dosed for the style, and the beer is extremely fresh. good carbonation and a lighter medium body make it pretty drinkable too. not bad, a good addition to their slowly evolving lineup...
