this is somewhat of a miss for me, but im not sure the base blonde ale itself is all that good. i need something like this to be much lighter and more refined, this is hazy and murky and dense to drink, even with the low alcohol its not a repeatable pint beer, doesnt feel clean enough to be summery, and the fruit doesnt seem fully real to me, maybe some decent quality purees, but its almost sloppy in its dosing and its ferment overall, and it was a bit of a mission getting through a whole one. pinkish red colored and cloudy, very little accumulated head although the beer is plenty fizzy. nose and taste of berry candy, generic fruit punch, its supposed to be blackberry, boysenberry, and blueberry, and i might get some light tartness from blueberry, but the rest of it seems nonspecific to me. there is some sweetness all through it, a grape candy vibe, pixie stick, light tartness, a not super clean ferment, and a weight that us unbecoming. the carbonation is okay, but the whole thing is off, the fruit dominates the base beer, which seems below average, and its not what it probably was meant to be, a summer ripper. these guys make good beer in here, no excuses for this to be so lackluster, generic, and mediocre, unless its just getting old at this point, but i had way higher expectations for this. not their finest work...
