A: Clear yellow in color. Forms about a half inch of fizzy white head on an aggressive pour. Reduces quickly to a surface coating and eventually nothing. Absolutely no lacing. This must be that fizzy yellow beer Stone has warned me about.
S: Some biscuit and grassy hops.
T: Creamy malts, grain, and a faint breadiness with a light blend of grassy hops and a little lemon. Finishes quick and clean. Just not much going on here.
M: Light in weight with a sort of creamy roundness to it. Appropriate carbonation.
O: A decent, though rather unexciting, pils. Easy drinking and light of flavor or character. Easily sessionable.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Last beer of the visit this time. It was listed as Norm! Pilsner on the wall list, but everything else matches up, so I'm gonna assume it's the same beer. It pours a clear pale amber topped by a half-finger of dirty white foam. The nose comprises grass, flowers, and dry wheat. The taste brings these elements back, adding a slight lemony twang in the back that really seems to make things work better. The body is a hefty-ish light, with a light moderate carbonation, a sorta grainy feel, and a kinda dry finish. Overall, an okay pils, something I could see drinking again, but definitely nothing to go out of the way to seek out by any stretch of the imagination.

Sampled at Ram Schaumburg 10/7/2010. Supposed to be a one off but I see a review on RB from April 2010, so either this is 6 months old or they made it again.
Pours clear yellow, tall white head that doesnt last long at all, no lace. CO2 dissipates quickly.
Aroma is sweet, lemony, and grassy with a touch of German.
Flavor is cheap, grainy, moderately urine-like, sweet, and bitter.
Too heavy for a pilsner but the lively CO2 almost makes up for that. Not completely disgusting but I won't be upset if I never try this again.
Tick.
