Note: not a pale ale. Very hoppy, almost IPA, hints of winter spices, and gentle warmth from the 8% ABV. Somewhere between a brown ale, an IPA and an ESB. Tasty stuff.

Review from notes. Growler from early December. This brew is only available for about a month before the keg runs dry.
According to the brewer, ingredients are -
Hops: Warrior for bittering, Glacier for the flavor hop addition, Palisades for the aroma addition.
Grain bill: Gambrinus Pilsner, Munich malt , two types of crystal malt, small amounts of both roast and chocolate malts and Simpsons Golden Naked Oats.
Pours a deep, rich caramel, almost Coca-Cola. Minimal head.
Smell is deep, rich malts. Some spiced hops, brown sugar and molasses.
Deep hop flavor, but nothing like an IPA. Near perfect balance of big-hop flavor and big malt taste. Good, slightly spiced aftertaste. Hints of chocolate in the roasted malts.
Mouthfeel is a little creamy and very smooth. Medium body.
Drinkability is high. A comfortable, tasty and balanced winter warmer.
