Pours a somewhat chill hazed dark amber red, with a frothy head of off-white foam, but not too appealing overall in appearance.
Strong malt bill here with notes of caramel and toffee while the hops add a definite citrus aroma.
While tempting in aroma, flavor is comprised of the same caramel and toffee like sweetness and citrus fruit, but very muted overall.
Medium bodied, medium carbonation, sweet, lingering bitterness.
Overall, I wanted to enjoy this more, but this is a very subtle and muted beer.

On tap at RAM-Boise. Served in a frosted glass, which negates an already weak nose. Decent looking pour, the best feature of this beer. Taste tried to accent some toffee malts, but is ruined by metallic, acidic finish. Weak.

In tap at ram fishers.
Cloudy red color with 1/2 finger or thin white foam and no lace on the glass.
Taste is malty and woody. It's got good bitterness from the hops but there is a sour undertone that I just can't grasp.
Feel is fine. The sour taste sticks around too long for this to be really easy drinking.
Interesting overall. Defiantly needs some tweaking.

Served on nitro, really smooth and creamy. Good for an Irish even of it is not Guinness.

Served in a pilsner glass at the Schaumburg location.
My final beer of the evening (at least, here at the Ram, anyway...). It pours a clear dark russet-auburn topped by a finger or so of cream-white foam. The nose comprises mild orange peel, wild grass, and rich caramel. The taste brings in more of the same, with the orange peel really taking on a decent amount of bitterness, though not enough to fully compensate for the caramel. The body is a light medium, with a moderate carbonation, a slightly watery feel, and a dry finish. Overall, an alright Irish red, but not something I'm ever gonna get excited about, especially considering how watery it seemed...

From notes:
Served in Pint glass from tap.
Nice light malty woodiness. Little head but pretty decent lacing. Very fresh and floral . Not really what I was looking for but I am glad I ordered one. A very refreshing spring quencher. Try one on for size.
