Served in a frosted pokal at the Schaumburg brewpub.
Coupled with the Black H'ops, this forms half of a pair of new, experimental (for the Ram, anyway, I guess) breed of IPAs. It pours an opaquely cloudy amber-straw topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises lemon zest, coriander, light black pepper, very light banana peel, and light cracked wheat. Though kinda perfume-y, I really enjoyed this aroma. The taste holds notes of orange rind, lemon peel, light coriander, soap, light grass, and light wheat. Way too much rind/soap for my tastes. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda dry finish Overall, an okay white IPA at best for me, as there was far too much of a soapy, rind-y charcter for my liking. Still, I do think it's a good sign to see the Ram branching out to newer, more different styles than they're used to.
