It starts off as a nice deep crimson/copper hue with a nice fluffy white head. It is served in a snifter glass and seems reasonable due to the fact that it is 9.0 ABV. The aroma Starts off with a nice caramel bread aromas with the fruitiness of the hops coming through. There is some alcohol in the nose but no disagreeable aromas. The taste comes through with a punch. The caramel toasty bread flavor is right there in front. Holds up nicely and the hops that were huge when it was brewed have now mellowed out and balanced nicely. For a first attempt for a beer. This was much better after it sat for a couple of months.
