Appearance This is a very dark amber in color with a huge, monster head that showed great retention and laced the hell out of my pint glass.
Smell This is a big un. The hops are very prominent. They are mostly fruit, like citrus and grapefruit. The nice malt backbone is grainy and heavy. This is not a wimpy ale.
Taste This one has some big flavors. The hops are very fruity and citrusy and theres a stiff, tangy lemon zest to it. The grain is very big as well.
Mouthfeel This one is a tad bigger than medium-bodied with good balance and a sharp sour tarty kind of snap right at the end. The malts are very smooth as they pass by the gums.
Drinkability This is off of the style, thats for sure. There are a lot of variations to the style though, so I wont knock it too bad. I enjoyed drinking it, which I guess is the most important thing.
