Pours a perfect brown copper with a huge tan head that was just amazing to sit back and watch. Lacing is incredible, some of the best froth I've ever seen. The smell up front is of roasted malts and alcohol, I could really pick up the alcohol in this. Molasses, syrup and sugar malt tones held together the middle and slight hop bitterness/earthy tones brought up the rear. The taste I could really pick up the alcohol as well, cinnamon sugar was a forefront taste, hints of scotch and caramel. Bitter earthy end. A full bodied scotch, probably couldn't drink more than a few of these, a good solid scotch ale.

Appearance Gorgeous brown color with a huge, tanned head that lasted forever and laced the hell out of the inside of my glass.
Smell The aroma consisted of toasted malts, light scotch, and big time sweets. I could pick out raw and brown sugar, Bing cherries, molasses, and maple. This almost smelled more like a lightly-smoked BSDA than a Scotch Ale.
Taste The sweetened malt flavors come out nicely at the tongue. The scotch flavor is there, but not overpowering. Theres a hop balance to this one that smoothes things out.
Mouthfeel The faintest of carbonation gives this medium-bodied ale a smooth character. I would have liked to have seen a little firmer body to this one, but overall the mouthfeel was good.
Drinkability This went down nicely. It has a good flavor, is somewhat refreshing, and if you like scotch youll enjoy the ale.

Clear with a deep copper color and a clingy head. Fairly malty and well balanced. Slightly sweet with caramel undertones. Finish is only slightly bitter. Nice full body. Overall, a very easily drinkable and pleasant brew.
