Pours a very clear garnet with just a bit of an off white head.
Smells of nice sweet malt, very little hops. Typical red ale taste, pretty dry, very few hop notes but a nice malt note from start to finish. Slightly rich and creamy and very clean.
Probably Warbird's strongest brew for me.

Pours a dark amber, ruby red in the light with decent clarity. A large three finger light tan head forms on the pour and lingers with great retention and leaves a bit of lacing.
The aroma is ok. Big grainy notes, almost hay like. Caramel is also present, accompanied by a faint earthy hop in the background.
Taste is pretty good. Seems malt forward, with a strong shot of caramel followed by a bit of grain. No real bitterness, but a bit dry on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with plenty of carbonation.
Drinkability is moderate. It's a decent beer, and 6% is easily managed. It's not bad, but the flavor isn't quite as good as it could be. I'm curious about the rest of the line up.

Review based on notes
Pours copper/chestnut with 3 fingers of rocky cream colored head. Average head retention & lacing
S: Some cakeyness
T: Bready with nice caramel & toasty malt notes up front. Slight grainyness & sweet caramel, plus dryness & a touch of herbal hops as this warms. Finishes with caramel, dryness & toasty malt. Almost pulled a 4.5
MF: Medium bodied & a bit sticky with moderate carbonation
Drank very easy, a nice Irish red & my favorite from this brewery

Pours a nice red color, with a little head and good lacing. It has a slightly sweet/malty scent, but very little aroma overall. Nice taste, malty with a slightly sour aftertaste, a decent Irish red, but not near as deep or sour as most that I've tried. Just a bit rough going down, but not bad. A good brew to try, but not the best Warbird offering.

Had this on tap at Legend's of Notre Dame. Poured into a standard pint glass.
Poured a dark rich amber, with decent size head.
Smelled slight hint of coffee, with little hop aroma, which for an Irish Ale, made it very interesting.
Tasted very malty, with little hop flavor.
Had a much heavier mouthfeel compared to most Irish Red's Ive had.. Blows Killians out of the water.
Very drinkable, could def. make this a seesion beer.
All in all, I really enjoyed this. It was a rotating seasonal for Legend's, and although Im not a huge fan of the Irish Red, it was very tasty. Better than most of the style I've had.
