Dark copper in color with reddish hues, medium clarity and short lived off-white/light tan head that rims the beer.
Rich malty aroma, notes of dark fruit, malliard, brown sugar and bread crust. Low noble hop aroma, slight earthyness.
Flavor is similar to aroma, dark fruit, burn sugar, caramel, malliard and bread crust. Virtually no hop bitterness but faint noble hop flavor is present
Medium full mouthfeel, slight alcohol warmth with medium to medium low carbonation. Beer is nice and chewy
This is a very good example of a dunkels bock, I only wish that more American breweries would follow suit in brewing this style.
