The original Lindener. With a noticeable hint of hops for that special flavour from Hanover. Lindener Spezial is a bottom-fermented, full-bodied beer, gold in colour and with a distinct note of hops.

A - Golden, transparent, minimal bubbles; poured with a nice frothy head; dissipated fairly slowly, no lacing, though.
S - Caramel, malt hops, spice (maybe)
T - Sweet, grainy malt flavor
M - Smooth, crisp, not too bitter; more hoppy than a standard German pils.
Overall - I enjoyed this beer. Poured it from a can that I pulled from the Christmas advent calendar. Nice and refreshing.

50cl bottle poured into Warsteiner Flute.
BBE Jan 2012
A- 3 finger creamy white head sitting a top a golden body with excellent clarity. Head retention and lacing are good.
S- Faint DMS, hint of biscuit malt and solid hop aroma.
T- Hint of malt sweetness up front with the hop bite coming through to tilt the balance although not as strong as the classic northern German Pils. Clean lager finish.
M- Crisp, medium carbonaton and body.
D- Crisp and refreshing, a little more hop presence than the standard pils. Not bad.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger pillowy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light pale malt aroma complimented by a spicy, peppery hop character.
The taste was upfront delicate pale malt doughiness which finished with a light peppery hop flavor. Mild huskiness and mildly sweet aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was clean and crisp. Very good carbonation.
Overall a nice German Pils. Not the quality of an Einbecker, but good nonetheless.

12 ounce brown bottle, no freshness dating but it does state"Imported from Germany" thanks for the info! anyway this brew pours very light golden amber, very clear, with a quickly departing white head. Slight and quickly departing lacing. Nose is slightly skunky early and then emits a wiff of hops. This is a fairly crisp and moderatly flavorful pilsner. Certainly nothing special, but an almost decent sessioner in a pinch

This is a beer I've picked up a few times because it's a good price ($4.59) for a half decent German pilsner. Today I returned the family cans and bottles and wanted to pick up something that would agree with the plebian tastes of my parents and siblings..this'll do the job.
Pours a nice medium golden color and presents a huge raft of head that dissipates within a few minutes. Nose is pale malt although there is a tinge of skunk along with it.
The taste features some hoppy bitterness but could use a dryer texture, especially at the finish, which is more astringent than crisp. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, not holding up the taste as well as I would like.
This is unexciting Eurotrash lager and not real good but to me no different than most of that other stuff in the green bottles and slick advertising campaigns, except that these guys don't advertise so their beer is two bucks cheaper a sixer. A nice cheaper alternative to Heineken, Beck's, SPG, etc.

The beer pours a typical pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a dry pale malt scent with some hops and that skunky green bottle stench. The taste is average. It has a light pale malt scent with a slightly bisquity flavor and a skunky German style aftertaste. It isn't as clean and crisp as some. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low/medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is an average beer at best. It doesn't have the best aroma and flavor, but it drinks alright.

Small frothy head. Hay like aroma. Slightly hoppy flavor with orangey malt in the aftertaste. Upon opening, the aluminum-like smell fades and a floral hop aroma comes through. The malts used throughout is what saves this beer from being a huge disappointment. A somewhat boring pilsener.

Pours a golden yellow colour from a rather nice green 330ml bottle. An average white foam head forms but lasts less than a few minutes, although a considerable amount of carbonation is always visible.
The smell slightly hints some hops and is fully descriptive of its flavour as it is quite strong. The taste itself is stronger and more bitter than expected but has a nice amount of carbonation providing for a good mouthfeel. A full flavour mixes with its bitterness providing a fine taste, which is appealing and worth having even twice.

Presentation: 11.2 oz green bottle with no freshness date or info about the beer.
Appearance: Pale golden yellow, very bright and clear with a decent white lace.
Smell: Mild sulfur and cooked hop aroma that feigns a skunkiness, some sweet grain and clean herbal hop in the aroma after the first raw smell go by.
Taste: Perfect level of carbonation that provides an incredibly smooth and crisp mouth feel. Light to moderate body. Thin grainy malt flavour that tastes like it was ultra filtered with a husky finish. Hop lay down a balancing bitterness yet some very faint cheesy and cooked hop flavours pop out and leave a leafy flavour in the after taste.
Notes: What is this? A Beck’s clone beer. Not as bad as Beck’s and the similar. No need to go out of your way for this, its just another boring processed German lager. I am sure this beer was pasteurized and it seems a bit over done in the aroma and flavour, shame because this could have been a good beer.
