Pumpkin Junction is a special brew produced annually by Elliott Bay for the yearly Pumpkin beer festival at The Beer Junction in West Seattle. It's a blend of beers, and the formulation varies each year. The 2013 version was about 60% barrel aged (if my memory serves me) and was fantastic. I wasn't rating beers on BA at the time, but keeping my own notes, and it was one of the best of more than 500 beers I had in 2013.

The 2014 version is different ... it's a blend of a coffee stout and a pumpkin ale, and who knows what else. Medium roasty stout. Plenty of coffee. Mild pumpkin presence. Not sweet. It's pretty close in style and result to Punkuccino. It's a delicious beer (if not quite in the same class as the 2013).

I first had the 2014 at the pumpkin beer festival at The Beer Junction this past fall. The Beer Junction now has it on tap again, so get over there while you can.
