Slightly hazy dark gold color. Sweet floral malt aroma. A bit of bite on the taste, with some of the fruitiness of a Belgian Pale Ale.

Nice and cloudy. Fun head. Banana notes on the nose. Slight citrus (orange) flavors. Pretty mild. Slight piney flavors. Belgian IPA. Hoppy but not too intense.

Draft pour into a tulip glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, candi and pale malt, apple and mild light stone fruit, clove and light grassy hops. Flavor has a nice Belgian character with clove and yeast. The hops are mild, but meld well with the clove; the profile is a lot like a tripel, but with a little hop character. Medium bodied with light creaminess and good carbonation. Not a traditional Belgian IPA, which are often more clearly hoppy, but a fine Belgian ale and perfect with my lunch.

Had a great Dry-hopped version at Washington Belgianfest. Rather tasty and a nice departure from the Abbey and Tripel offerings there. Good IPA in the Belgian vein overall.

I had this on-tap in a tulip glass at the brewpub on Lake City Way.
Appearance: medium gold hue with plenty of haze. Head is a finger of creamy ivory foam with good retention and a thorough lace. Great!
Smell: lightly sweet and lightly funky aroma; hops are fruity which complements the subtle yeast character nicely.
Taste: a little bit of funk makes this almost saison-ey. Hops are citrusy, which complements the funk well. Relatively strong bitterness rounds things out.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light carbonation. Decent enough.
Overall: a decent Belgian-inspired IPA. I could see myself drinking this again.

Finisher of the night
A - Served a nice cloudy medium orange with a light fan head.
S - Hoppy grass and old oranges.
T - Similar to the smell, but again more malt forward.
D - Good carbonation and body.
O - The second best beer I had tonight, which isn't saying much. Good overall feel and drinkability.
