The bartender wasn't certain, but she believed this rotational offering is brewed in part with real chocolate. The taste doesn't go far in affirming this possibility. Mostly, the porter tastes of chocolate malts and dark fruits with a pleasant hint of vanilla. The beer yielded no head, lace, or aroma, and the deep mahogany body was sullen and undercarbonated.
Modestly agreeable overall, with no appreciable deficits. But the lack of vigor was distracting.
